Alexandra Miller first got into the sport of fitness competing when one of her friends saw her working out in a gym in Ormand Beach, Florida and suggested she used his competition regiment as he thought her legs were amazing. She tried it and loved the results. Multi-talented Alexandra also likes to ride road bikes in time trials. With some weight loss with the help of her weight training she was able to win her first time trial race. She lists her parents as her main inspiration and motivation. Her father was a long jumper and is now a triathlete with many medals and awards. He rides and rows through all seasons and is still very dedicated to his sport. Her mother, although having gone through various injuries never gives up. She’s in her early 50’s and still does ballet, jazz and tap dancing twice a week. She swims and walks every day and also does equestrian therapy. Alexandra’s goals include winning a couple more time trials on her bike, competing in more triathlons and going back to ballet. She also wants to become an international bikini model and an international role model. But most of all she just wants to have a great time doing it. You can follow Alexandra here at Fit Nutrition. I recently became certified as a Body Combat instructor through Les Mills, this is a martial arts workout that will knock your socks off!! I burn an average of 700 calories per class This month I am putting in lots and lots of base miles on my road bike (I can get you pictures of this soon) for the Florida state time trial championship that is being held in October. My goal is to place top 5 in the state which means I have to sprint about 12-13 miles in less than 30 minutes....should be tough. Base training means lots of time in the saddle and a bum that ache’s; this is the down side to cycling. Fortunately its great exercise! Also this month I am working to bulk up my portfolio, I have a shoot set up with Kristia Knowles to do some sporty shots. I have lots of open afternoons and so I am looking to set up as many shoots as i can I am a bikini competitor but I am not a United States Citizen and so I have been talking to the United Kingdom Figure, Fitness and Bodybuilding association to see if they will take me on as a team member seeing as I am still a British Citizen. If all goes well, I will be coming to England to compete later in the year. Fingers crossed! I am helping a friend of mine promote his Body Building show that is in Daytona Beach in September of this year. There hasn't been a competition in Daytona for many years and so he wants to bring it back. It is called the Daytona Beach Classic and it promises to be a fun filled weekend of events around Daytona Beach |
